888 Sport is a football-first bookmaker that has been licensed in the UK since 2014, and it plays to that identity: the site’s own coverage leans hard on the Premier League, European competition, the big cup rounds, F1, NFL London games and the main UK racing cards. If your betting life is football – pre-match value, in-play markets, cash out – 888 is a solid, no-nonsense home. The one thing to get right at the start: the welcome. As of 16 October 2026 the published GB welcome was a 100% deposit match up to €100 (the figure is currency-following – see below), not the coded free-bet offer our card used to show. Sports and markets
Football is where 888 earns its reputation. The big leagues – Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 – carry the full menu: result, goals markets, both teams to score, corners, cards, goalscorers (anytime and first), and the usual in-play additions as the match runs. The European competitions get proper treatment through the league phase and knockout rounds, and domestic cups from FA Cup to European qualifiers. Below the top tier the menus thin out, which is normal for a football-first book.
Racing covers the main UK and Irish cards with each-way terms per race; tennis runs the full ATP/WTA calendar including the Slams; golf the Majors and tours; darts the PDC season; snooker the ranking events. We’re describing the product’s shape – we haven’t counted markets per fixture today, and depth varies by competition and round.
Odds – what we can and can’t say
The fair statement: 888 prices are competitive on major football fixtures, and the book runs price boosts on selected markets that beat its own standard price – boosts have conditions (usually minimum odds or a minimum number of selections) and can be voided if those aren’t met, so read the boost’s own terms. We have not built a timestamped like-for-like odds sample across bookmakers this pass, so we’re not ranking 888 against bet365 or Paddy Power on price – if odds are your reason for choosing, run the comparison on the fixture you actually want to bet, on the day.
In-play and cash out
In-play at 888 covers the main football fixtures and other headline events, with odds moving in real time. Three things matter about that sentence. First, it’s a deposit match, not a free bet: the bonus is money added to your account, and money added like that comes with wagering conditions in the bonus policy – we did not extract that policy’s exact multiplier and expiry this pass, so read it before you count on the €100 (UKGC rules since 19 January 2026 cap such wagering at 10× bonus funds). Second, the euro figure tracks your account currency – GB accounts in pounds see the pound equivalent. Support runs through the site and app (chat and contact routes, including a making-a-complaints page in the footer). We haven’t tested response times.
